We tailor the program to individual needs. We will train at your dog’s pace, starting with basics and working up to intermediate or even advanced obedience if you wish. Included in the training is important life skills such as manners, focus and understanding of how to better communicate with your dog to enhance your relationship, in addition to helping you to design a schedule that will work for you and your dog’s needs.
We can also help your family prepare your dog for any upcoming lifestyle changes such as getting ready for a baby or moving house. We aim to balance your dog’s training requirements with your lifestyle demands to help to prepare your dog for changes.
Training sessions are one hour in length, and we advise they are held once per week (depending on the training). There is a special offer for private training at our center for a package of 6 sessions, when you book and pay in advance you receive the 6th lesson free. Dogs require consistency so we encourage the whole family to participate in the training process.
Comprehensive training with professional trainers while your dog stays with us. Duration varies from 1 week to 1 month, depending on needs. Ideal for obedience and protection work.
We will do an assessment with you and your dog to determine your dog’s personality and temperament, the goals you have for your dog and possible problem areas. Based on this we will create a tailored program suitable for your dog.
Of course! Your dog will get to participate in group play sessions and will learn socialize with other dogs of similar temperament, personality and size. Your dog will also participate in the doggie pool play sessions.
Fun and effective group training sessions designed to improve focus under distractions. Weekly sessions for 5 weeks cover leash walking, sit, down, stay, recall, focus, and more. Socialize your dog while building trust and a stronger bond.
Group classes are held in our training center. Our programs are developed to give owners and their dogs the best chance to succeed with an emphasis on training the basic exercises while developing focus from your dog under various distractions. Your dog will have an opportunity to socialize with other dogs, learn manners and stimulate them mentally as well as physically while building a strong bond between you and your dog.
Reward based training methods, using food, toys or praise.
Shaping the exercises through luring and body language and using a marker to indicate when the reward is coming (either clickers or verbal markers – Yes)
Food or praise are preferable to start your training with as they have a calming effect on your dog.
Later in the program we will show you how to remove the food rewards and replace with praise and how to use toys and play as a reward, depending on your dog’s reward preference.
Basic Obedience group training classes are conducted at set timings once a week for 5 weeks.

For dogs who have completed the basic obedience and are looking for a higher level of control, reliability and off leash skills. We build on existing skills in the 3 D’s of Dog training: Distance, Distraction and Duration:
Gaining control from a distance. Starting with long lines and beginning off leash skills.
Starting with low level distractions and progressing until we can receive focus in many types of situations and with high level distractions in various environments and circumstances.
Increasing the length of time a dog maintains a behavior, such as focus and stays with various distractions
Customized programs to address undesirable behaviors and shape new, better responses. We’ve successfully transformed countless troubled tails.

After an initial assessment with you and your dog, we will discern what is triggering the problem behavior and design a training plan to help your dog overcome it.
