Keeping your dog busy during the summer months can be a real challenge
however there are lots of fun activities you can do with your dog even during the hottest of summer days.
Brush up on your dog’s training.
Training the basics such as daily down stays are essential however, did you know that training something new with your dog can be more tiring for a dog than a walk? Training some new commands or tricks are a wonderful way to keep your dog’s mind active.
Play fun indoor games such as search or hide and seek.
Hide some treats or your dogs’ favorite toy in the house and teach your dog to find it. Or some makeshift home agility is great fun. Try putting a broom over 2 chairs and teach your dog to jump on command.
Teach your dog to walk on a treadmill.
It is much easier than it looks. Your dog will thank you for the extra exercise.
